I grew up north of Grand Rapids in Comstock Park and attended Sparta High School. After graduating in 2008, I attended Ferris State University and completed the dental hygiene program in May of 2012. While working through the professional sequence of my program, I became president of the Student American Dental Hygienists’ Association (SADHA) and coordinated in the Children’s Dental Health Fair hosted every February by the hygiene students at the campus dental clinic. Shortly after graduating that spring, I move to Chicago where I began my career as a hygienist. I worked for two offices, one of which specialized in pediatrics where I became passionate about working with children.
The amazing experience and diverse city prepared me for the move back home with my husband Eric, whom I wed earlier in October of 2013. Beyond the office I enjoy practicing yoga and recently became an instructor. I enjoy spending time with my family, especially our black lab named Micky, as well as embracing nature with walks and hikes, knitting, and an overall healthy approach to life.
